After graduating from Faulkner University’s Thomas Goode Jones School of Law on an academic scholarship Ben Green moved back to the Athens area to be closer to his family and began his legal career as a felony prosecutor in the Jackson County District Attorney’s Office where he tried a myriad of cases ranging from Child Molestation and Rape to Aggravated Assault and Domestic Violence. He also represented the State of Georgia in Juvenile Court matters and functioned as a member of the Jackson County Drug Court team.
Prior to law school Ben was an NCAA athlete, a UH-60 Blackhawk Pilot and Company Commander, an Ironman triathlete, and an ultra-marathon runner.
Now in private practice, Ben has decided to focus his practice on criminal and civil litigation both in federal and state court as well as preparing wills, trusts, and estate planning. Because even the best judges occasionally make mistakes Ben is licensed to, and has, appealed several matters to the appellate courts. Ben is also currently the President of the Piedmont Bar Association.
Ben and his wife Annette currently live in Athens.
